Recent Makeup & Hair!

                                  Spencer's Senior Prom Makeup
Spencer's makeup was so fun to do! Her eyes just pop when the color goes on and I did a hint of winged eyeliner. I didn't want to over do it because her unique dress spoke volumes! She had a gorgeous mermaid dress with sequins, sparkles, and black flowers. Extremely classy!

Skyler's Junior Prom Hair & Makeup
Skyler wanted a "super curly up do"! And the curls were so, so gorgeous! She was originally worried her hair wouldn't hold a curl but the 'ol clampless curling wand and I banished those doubts! She had a style that lasted all night. Lots of curling and pinning in the back, a little bit of height on top, bangs swooped to the side and on the opposite side was a braided headband that ran across and was tucked in the back. She had some sparkly hair accessories we added in.

She gave me complete freedom with her makeup and I loved it! She has beautiful brown eyes that the purple really brought out! The highlight on the brow bone was a gorgeous contrast. Her complete look was glamorous that really set off her sexy black dress!

                                    Liz's Maternity Hair & Makeup
Liz has a naturally put together look for her maternity photoshoot! Her to-die-for blue eyes were all the focus! She really did not need much makeup to achieve perfect look. Just an everyday makeup routine with the best picture perfect products! Two special products to mention is a primer and highlighter for the cheeks - a must when taking high quality photos.

Her request for a side bun turned out gorgeously with a braid and teased crown. Her low, curly side bun was so, so cute! Her awesome blonde hair made the hairstyle easy to see and brought out the simple magnificence of the braid and curls.

Holly's Junior Prom Makeup
Holly gave me complete control on her makeup, I was so excited to see what we could do! She has SUCH a great complexion, so pretty! I did lots of shimmer for her eyes and made sure to use some pinks and silvers to tie in the colors of her elegant pink dress. Just stunning!

Foundation!!

My choice of foundation!!! Mary Kay Creme to Powder and Mineral Powder.

I'd be lost without having a foundation that provides great coverage for my uneven skin. I have my flaws I just don't necessarily want to show them to the world everyday! Having my makeup on and enhancing my natural features help me feel more beautiful and confident!

My iPhone does not take the best pictures but here you can see what side of my face has a smooth, even tone. I used creme to powder with a foundation brush and swept some mineral powder over it with a powder brush.

This foundation combo is what I will use when doing someone elses makeup. They are always amazed at the difference in the texture of their skin. It creates a flawless finish to continue the makeup look!

Curling Eyelashes with Heat! Long Lasting

If you don't have a problem keeping your eyelashes curled then I speak for myself and most other girls out there...we hate you ;)

Using a normal eyelash curler can, at least for me, keep a curl for about... oh, 10 minutes. And then its back to normal. If you're looking for a long lasting hold to keep your lashes looking fabulous, the trick is heat. In stores they actual sell heated eyelash curlers but here's a secret : HAIR DRYER.

BEFORE APPLYING MASCARA, on a low setting, hold your curler about 3 inches away from the dryer and let it get warm for about 15 seconds. Let the curler significantly cool down before applying to eyelashes. You want to curl, not singe :) It should be comfortably warm. Apply the curler at the base of lashes and hold for 3 seconds and continue to work the curler up to the tip of lashes, holding 3 seconds at each spot. Doing this prevents eyelashes from looking kinky. BAM! Not only should they be MORE curled than usual but it will stay much longer. Apply mascara immediately after curling.

I use Mary Kay Ultimate Mascara because my eyelashes are thin and this product gives them a more defined look and I also don't have to use very much which makes the curl last even longer because my lashes are not being weighed down :)

And there you have it!
